Examination and response of application for a MODE S 24 - bit code

Process description

1. Service requests
   The owner of an aircraft registered in the aircraft register of the Republic of Latvia, or the operator or possessor, in accordance with the form specified in the section “Aircraft Safety” of the CAA website, shall submit an application for the granting of the Mode S code.

2. Receipt of services
   If the aircraft specified in the application is in the register of the Republic of Latvia, the free code shall be granted. The code is assigned from the list set out in Annex 10 to the ICAO Convention for use on aircraft registered in Latvia. An answer letter with the assigned code shall be sent to the applicant.
