The "Management System" of the Civil Aviation Agency meets the requirements of international standard

The "Management System" of the Civil Aviation Agency was recertified as compliant with the international standard LVS EN ISO 9001:2015 according to the supervisory audit of SIA "Bureau Veritas Latvia" conducted on July 3, 2024.

During the audit, no inconsistencies were found, which confirms the compliance of the work results with the established criteria of the international standard requirements and confirms once again that the CAA carries out oversight functions in accordance with the regulations, constantly maintaining the Management processes in accordance with the International and European Union requirements.

The management system of the Civil Aviation Agency has been certified since 2006 as complying with the international standard LVS EN ISO 9001: 2008 and recertified since 2016, in accordance with the new international standard LVS EN ISO 9001: 2015. Each year the certification organisation of Bureau Veritas Latvia carries out supervision of the management system of the civil aviation agency, but each third year – re-certification. Compliance with the international standard demonstrates that the Authority has worked effectively to develop, maintain and continuously improve the management system and that customer requirements and applicable legal requirements have been defined, understood and respected, while the risks and opportunities affecting product and service compliance have been identified and managed.
