Long-term permits for transportation of medical goods in passenger saloon issued to airBaltic and SmartLynx airlines
The Civil Aviation Agency of the Republic of Latvia has issued long-term permits for transportation of medical goods in passenger
saloon to two airlines - airBaltic and SmartLynx.
airBaltic may use 12 aircraft, and SmartLynx one aircraft for this purpose. The permits have been issued for a time period of April 8 to November 6.
"The aviation industry should be ready to adapt to the new challenges, at the same time, not forgetting about the safety that has always been the priority
in the sector. At the time when passenger aircraft are not used for the direct purposes, but cargo planes cannot meet all the demand, the authorities have
found the best possible solution for the state of emergency," said CAA director Maris Gorodcovs
